Updates for Admitted Students and Families
We understand this is a stressful time for students and families trying to decide on a college without having all the financial aid details yet. The changes and delays with the FAFSA this year have made things more difficult, and we don't want to add more pressure. We'd like to remind you that NIU has a later decision priority deadline than most schools, and this remains true for the Fall 2024 semester. Admitted students have until July 15 to confirm their intent to enroll.
In the meantime, we encourage you to continue taking your next steps as an admitted student to ensure you have a spot at orientation, in on-campus housing and in our classes this fall.
