TEACH House

Welcome to TEACH House – Northern Illinois University’s Living-Learning Community for future teachers.  Located in Stevenson Towers South, this residence hall living option is open to students pursuing a degree in any area of Educator Licensure.  TEACH House will connect you to peers with similar professional aspirations in your teaching major and facilitate interactions with teacher candidates from other Educator Licensure programs across campus.

TEACH House activities include:

  • Game and movie nights
  • Study groups
  • Group social activities

Requirements

  • You must have declared an area of Educator Licensure as your intended major.
  • You must remain in good standing.
  • You must attend a set number of events.

How to Sign Up

Log in to MyHousing and follow the instructions for selecting a new room and meal plan. If you meet the above requirements, you will be able to select a room in the TEACH House. Note that depending on the time of the year, room selection may be unavailable to you. Learn more about the room selection timeline.
